Playing Poker
Did you know that there are more than 60 million poker players in the United States and more than 100 million worldwide? More people play poker than play golf, billiards, or tennis. From the everyday Joe next door to Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court, they're all looking for winning poker hands.

Texas Holdem
Texas Hold'em is the most widely popular game of poker played today. Each player receives two cards face down. This is followed by a round of betting. Three additional cards are then "flopped" face up on the table. These are community cards, meaning that every player can use these cards along with their own cards, to make a hand. After "the flop" and a second round of betting, a fourth card (called the "turn") is placed face up on the table. Then comes the third round of betting, and the fifth, or "river" card is placed face up in the middle before the final round of betting occurs. With all the cards out, each player tries to make the best five-card poker hand out of the five community cards and the two cards in his or her hand.
